Karate Career Highlights

Sensei Bryan started to practice the art of karate at the age of 6 and it has been his passion ever since.

Most of his karate training takes place in Vanderbijlpark under the guidance of his father, Sensei Mike Dukas (7th Dan), where he also assists Sensei Mike with instruction. However, he also frequently trains at the Karate no Michi headquarters under the style head of KWF S.A., Sensei Malcolm Dorfman (8th Dan).

Some of the highlights of his karate career are winning the Black Cat Trophy for the best junior competitor for 1996, winning the South African National Championships Men's Kumite division for 2000, being selected for the Kenshusei programme of KWF S.A. and in February 2001 winning 3 medals at the KASA senior championships - gold individual men's Kata, gold team men's Kata and bronze medal for u/65kg men's Kumite.
